What a night in the "City On Down"!

It was January 27, 2007 at 9:45 and it was finally time. It was a night I had been looking forward to since it was announced. I couldn't believe they were actually walking on stage. I had been so nervous for days. For some reason it felt as if I was playing.
To turn around from my second row seats and see 19,500 people behind me screaming for O.A.R. put me in another place. I had seen these guys in front of 100 people, a thousand people, five thousand people... now this. I had met and talked to all the guys and I knew that tonight was one of their biggest nights of the year and it was mine too.

From the opening rif to the last note I never went back in my seat, it was their stage. Getting the crowd going with "Love And Memories" and hearing the roar brought a smile to my face. Then to hear one of the best versions of one of my favorite songs ever "Untitled" really got me high!

JERRY FOR PRESIDENT

Since Marc said goodbye to us January 14, 2006, i was probably numb for a whole year. I was in awe at how well my favorite band rocked New York City. When my email account gave me note of OAR's winter finale at the garden, i celebrated for weeks. January 27, 2007 did not dissapoint. The built up emotion and thrill i had been holding in for a year, poured out the second i heard Jerry play the intro to L&M. And as Marc said goodbye again after the best City on Down the band has ever played, i hate to admit that i might have shed a tear. The fact that 5 guys who started jamming in their mom's house in middle school could make 16,000 plus fans fall in love after a single concert. Amazing job guys, you have topped the height of the music world and continue to go farther. Please come back soon.

BTW...Jerry you are fucking amazing

Still makes me smile!

The band finally made it to a somewhat close venue back in early 2006...after waiting so long to see them it was amazing...I was so incredibly blown away by everybody's energy, Jerry rocking on the sax and Marc getting so into the songs, the energy they gave off was almost tangible...it was amazing.
I would have paid a hundred dollars to see the show and not regretted anything...lucky me, I got to see them now while tickets are still cheap! Seeing the band live was probably one of the single most awesome experiences I've had to date.
